Dear Experts
I tried adding Infotype 8 and 40 to the overview in the Personal Profile (HRESS_A_PERSINFO) following the SAP Help http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/en/38/fd1f7ed337404cae5c8a2341dbdca4/content.htm and a couple of threads here on SCN.
First i Did it the lazy way by just copieing exisiting UIBBs which lead the new OVP showing but always with the message "could not find Data"
Then i did it the proper way and set up everything from scratch. Now i get an error message that field XXX is not available for Group column.
I figured out, that this referring to the Feederclass paramter "Grouping Column"
I tried all Fields that would make remotly sense to Group the IT sets (most logically to me would have been the subtype) - but all lead to the same error.
I then removed the value but that just leads to the OVP showing my regular columns from the uibb without any data
The wiring is set up
Table V_T7XSSPERSUBTY is set up correctly (IT 40 with all subtypes and IT 8 with subtype 0 - only 0 is in use anyway)
I checked the Modell HRPAD - IT 40 and 8 are in the model (on a side note, what is up with HRPAD? it is a customizing activity in SPRO, but as soon as i try to update it SAP askes me for Special key (its a sap component allrigt, but why add it to the help that you should update HRPAD if you can't do it afterall?)
I triple checked the timebinding and that i actually have data stored for my testuser.
I checked the Standard UIBBs for their value of "Grouping column" and noticed that they all use some Special field with "xxxtype" instead of the subtype. (The Address UIBB for instance uses Field ANSSA) But i don't have a similar field within IT8 or 40 in HRPAD. Is it even possibile to add those two ITs to the overview?
Since all my test users have a SAP_ALL and can look at all employees i don't think it is a authority Problem either (i checked in the ERP and there my testuser can see their own data in PA20)
So any hint on what else i could check / Change / try would be much appreciated!

Active Businessfunctions for ESS: HCM_ESS_WDA_1 & 2 & 3, HCM_ESS_CE and HCM_ESS_CI_1
Concurrent Employment is set up for the System. IT 8 is contract specific (bound to a specific PERNR) while IT 40 is valid for all contracts (PERNRs) at the same time - the General CE seems to work with all Standard infotypes (like addresses)
Portal s running on Netweaver 7.3 latest SP
i am not using the launchpad but a seperate iView in the Portal (but that shouldn't have any effect)
