Suppose we are posting GRN today - 07 Month and 2014 as year and this is the fifth GRN of the month - Batch 0720145 (Month/Year/GRN for the month)
Can we fulfill the requirement through standard customization.

We are implementing EPC 2.0 to link between Oracle Primavera & SAP PM for turnaround scheduling. We have 1 ECC instance that used by different users from our offices around the globe. I couldn't find here SAP Enterprise Project Connection 2.0 – SAP Help Portal Page information about the architecture recommendation. For example, which is better :
Performance wise which is better ? is the 2nd option valid (many EPCs to 1 ECC) ?
We couldn't find answers to this.

We are dealing with liquid chemicals wherein these chemicals are field into tankers using mass flow meters. Goods issue is done based on weighbridge reading. There is a slight variation in quantities. We have configured Dynamic credit management. Wherein if there is slight increase in quantity increases net value of shipment which system is not allowing to do post billing document. To overcome this issue , system should allow billing when credit limit exceeds upto INR10000.00.
How can i make this work.

MIGO transaction Giving dumpwhen we are trying to check or post more than 9 materials. Its working fine till for 9 materials check or post. but when we are trying more that its giving dump Exception condition "CUST_EXIT_AUSP3" triggered

How to correct the error :
If the error occurs in a non-modfied SAP program, you might be able to

"SAPLCLFM" bzw. LCLFMF65
"MERGE_ALLKSSK_ALLAUSP"
or
"SAPLCLFM" CUST_EXIT_AUSP3
or
"SAPLMIGO " "CUST_EXIT_AUSP3"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the following
information to SAP:
1. This description of the problem (short dump)
To do this, choose System -> List -> Save -> Local File (unconverted)
on the screen you are in now.
2. A suitable system log
To do this, call the system log in transaction SM21. Restrict the time
interval to ten minutes before the short dump and five minutes after
it. In the display, choose System -> List -> Save -> Local File

Purchase order is created by two ways : 1) store supervisor& 2) Region wise Concern.
store supervisor :
1) If Purchase order is created by Store Super visor value is Rs : 50,000 , Levels of approval is L1 > L2 > L3 > L4 > L5. (Normal Way )
Region wise Concern.
2) If Purchase order is created by Region wise (N.,E.,W.,S.,) PO value is Rs : 50,000 First level of approval will be L3 (NOT from L1) second level is L4 , and finally Third Level of approval is L5.
Can i create a new Charecteristics for Ex : " ZUSER_PO "

This is regards to the SAP Business Objects BOE Installation for 4.1 version (Custom install).
I m trying to set-up a distributed environment for setting Multiple APS. I would like to understand if its possible and good to do.
My plan is to create 5 APS servers in 2 different machines exclusively for the purpose to simulate a distributed environment.
The reason why i feel to split the five Split APS servers running in two different machines is each machine capacity is 16 GB RAM available.
What I have as of now :
Machine 1 and Machine 2 having custom installations and ascint as cluster to the Central BOE Machine 0. These Two machines 1, and 2 are indivijually running default APS for 1Gb.
What I m planning is :
Stop and disable the APS in both the machines and start creating the 7 split APS in these two machines
Machine 1 :
a. APS -1 : DSL Services (3Gb),
b. APS-2 : Search Services (2GB)
c. APS-3 : OLAP : 3GB
d. APS-3LCM : 1GB
Machine 2 :
a. Publishing services : 2GB
b. Webi services : 4GB
c. Other services : 2GB
Is it wise to split like this or Or i must run All the APS servers in one machine and then Machine two i should have a replica of Machine 1.
This is purely from a demo perspective. Requirements been Webi Running Optimally good an drest services will have average number of use case. Size wise, I m looking for a Small Installation type only

My doubt is if during requirement planning bom is exploded to determine requirements then, why again on basic start date bom is exploded?
if this is only in case of alternative bom then also selection of bom and its explosion takes place on the day of mrp run to determine requirements,still in this case on basic start date why bom is exploded?
please help me. correct answer will be rewarded in points!!

I can create a sales order and bill it. It posts to the correct GL but it does not post a profitability document and it does not show up in CO PA when I run report Profitability by Customer out of KE30. Please let me know what I missed and I will add it to my steps in case I ever have to create another.

Hi all,
I know many people in this space are trying to get the eclipse connected to your SAP system . I suppose my system is missing some of the settings in the SICF transaction.
In the document it says that I need to activate the service.
But I do not have this service. I have it as,
Under bc I do not have the ABAP. So I am unable to activate this service.
While establishing a connection to this system through eclipse I get the below error.
I am unable to resolve this.
*Note: The system I am using is IDES accessed via VMware Workstation .
I have solution manager 7.1, I did not configure managed systems as of now. I configured local SLD of solution manager system as central SLD.
SLDAPICUST is fine and SLDCHECK is also fine but getting one error:

We use time evaluation with time recording to generate absence quota
and ZL data for payroll, and payroll and time period are the same calendar month,
and run payroll in the end of month, time evaluation runs several times each day.
When run payroll on 27th or 28th,
there will be different payroll result due to different time data,
such as night shift allowance generated each day,
so my question is how to generate ZL data only for last 28th to current 27th automatically in time evaluation?

I have created custom hierarchical nodes based on cmp code, cont area ,profit cent, cost cent and there are several nodes in this hierarchy.
I have a issue as follows:
hierarchy key figure
node A1 - 10
node A2 - 20
node A3 - 30
node A4 - 40
i have create above hierarchy.
now i need a single node just below the above nodes with text "Total of A" = 100 in a single node
How can i achieve this.
node A1 - 10
node A2 - 20
node A3 - 30
node A4 - 40
"Total of A" = 100 ?
Further, i dont want to put node a1...a4 in a parent node and don;t want to create a link node for total.

I am interested to know on SAP's recommendation for using NWBC over Netweaver Portal.
How does SAP position NWBC compared to NW Portal?
Is NWBC is going to the future and NW Portal will be sunset?
Appreciate if you can provide document or link on SAP strategic road map of these two products.

Hi ,
We have standard table T023 for Material Groups where we can't see the description field WGBEZ60 in se11 field list.
But we can able to see the content of that field while execute the table.I have a same requirement in my custom table
one of the filed need to be in invisible mode in se11 and can able to see data when we execute it.
Is it possible? If yes please let me know.I have an urgent requirement.

After a Dev and Quality refresh, my productive system ins´t able to communicate in the transport system.
it gives me the error "sap no rfc authorization for function module rfcping" my Transport Domain it´s on my dev system.
I already have did:
RFC generation
TMSADM reset
Checked file authorizations
Testing RFC authorizations on STMS gives me the error...can you help?

I have a field "BIN" in the database. BIN is 17 digit Alpha Numeric Ex: "1FADP5CU3DL511124" . Look at the letters 5, 6 & 7 highlighted in red color.
If letters in the position 5,6 & 7 is P5C or POP or POS then i need to categorize BIN to a category called 'P'.
If letters in the position 5,6 & 7 is P3R then i need to categorize BIN to a category called 'B'.
After categorizing the BIN field, i need to use the field as filter and the filter should have 'P', 'B' & 'All' (Incase client would like to see all category).
How can we do this?
